Last night in a dream

Last night in a dream, an Anglican priest showed me a video in which an Arab Christian – whom I assumed to be Armenian or Chaldean Catholic (he was in Iraq) – implored the church in the West to forget it’s petty local squabbles and to take seriously the persecution of Christians in the Arab world. He struggled to hold back tears as he spoke of beheadings and the torture of believers by Islamist fanatics. In the dream, the Anglican priest was kind and in earnest – there was a sense of the need to set aside the unimportant for the important, pettiness for loving-kindness, indifference for meaningful action.
